Partha Chatterjee is an Indian politician of West Bengal. He represents Trinamool Congress.
Partha Chatterjee was born in Calcutta. He holds a post-graduate degree in business administration.[1][2]
Partha Chatterjee worked as a HR professional with Andrew Yule
He was elected a MLA from Behala Paschim in 2001, and subsequently re-elected from the same constituency in 2006. In 2011 he won by a margin of 59,021 votes.[3][4]
He was sworn in as a Cabinet Minister in the Mamata Banerjee ministry on 20 May and allotted the portfolios of commerce and industry, public enterprises, information technology and parliamentary affairs.[5]
He was nominated deputy leader of the house in 2011.[1] He was leader of the opposition in the West Bengal assembly during 2006-2011.[2]
